January in New England

 Winter is a necessary evil to get to the good springtime and summer weather that will follow later.

I love the New England climate. I have lived in tropical weather and traveled abroad, but moved back to the northeast for the four seasons I loved and grew up with. As a youngster I was always outdoors playing this time of year, ice fishing, driving snow sleds, hiking and all the things we do up here. I still like walking winters, but having to tone down the physical activity is a big adjustment from the neck down. I'm in my early sixties now yet my young mind and body aren't in much agreement with each other. We do what we can with what we are given!
